Meet the Southfield Capital Team

Andy founded Levison & Co., the predecessor of Southfield Capital, in November 2002. Before that he was the Head of Leveraged Finance at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where he oversaw banking and origination activities for all of the firm's investment banking products for leveraged companies. In particular, Andy focused on high yield securities, leveraged bank loans, bridge loans and mezzanine/equity investments. While at DLJ, Andy also served as Co-Chairman of the Credit Committee and as a member of the Management Committee of the Investment Banking Division and the Banking Review Committee. Prior to joining DLJ, he was a Managing Director of the Leveraged Buyout Group at Drexel Burnham Lambert and a Vice President of the Special Finance Group at Manufacturers Hanover Trust.

Andy has served on the boards of over 25 public and private companies related to investments and is currently on the board of directors of Ferrellgas Partners, L.P. (NYSE: FGP), Protos Security, Pacific Landscape Management, Property Management Holdings, TFS, and the Levison/Present Foundation at Mount Sinai Hospital. Andy was also the President of The Red Ribbon Foundation in Greenwich, CT. He earned a B.S. degree in Finance from Babson College.

Andy joined Levison & Co., the predecessor of Southfield Capital, in November 2002. He has over 14 years of experience working as a principal with middle market companies. Since joining Southfield Capital, Andy has been involved in the sourcing, execution and management of the firm's direct investments and has developed extensive board-level experience. Prior to joining Levison & Co., he was an Analyst at CRT Capital Group, a boutique investment bank based in Stamford, CT. He also spent two years as an Analyst at General Electric in the company's Financial Management Program, with a majority of his time spent in General Electric Capital's private equity division.

Andy is currently on the board of directors of Franchise FastLane, Protos Security, Milrose Consultants, Property Management Holdings, and TFS. He earned a B.A. degree in Economics magna cum laude from Hamilton College.

Heb joined Southfield Capital in March 2008. Heb has worked with lower middle market companies his entire career. Prior to joining Southfield, he was an Associate in the Investment Banking Group at Oppenheimer & Co. At Oppenheimer, Heb provided deal origination, structuring and execution support on several capital markets and financial advisory transactions for small-cap and emerging-growth companies. Prior to Oppenheimer, he was an Associate with Growth Capital Partners, a boutique middle market investment bank focused on mergers and acquisitions and private placements. Heb is active in all facets of the firm from deal sourcing to providing strategic and operational guidance to Southfield’s portfolio companies.

Heb is currently on the board of directors of Alba Wheels Up, The Kelvin Group, Pacific Landscape Management, and Business Development Resources (BDR), and previously served on the board of directors of Ntiva. Heb received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Emory University. He is also a CFA charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Investment Analysts.

Brandon joined Southfield Capital in July 2014. Prior to joining Southfield, Brandon was an Associate at Bayside Capital, HIG Capital’s special situations group, focused on distressed debt, direct lending and special situation buyouts. Prior to joining HIG, Brandon worked in the Investment Banking division of Morgan Stanley.

Brandon is currently on the board of directors of Protos Security, Pacific Landscape Management, Property Management Holdings, and previously served on the board of Biopharm Communications and Vanguard Dealer Services. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College, graduating summa cum laude. Prior to completing his undergraduate degree, Brandon was a free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, and overseas in Germany through NFL Europe.

Chris Grambling joined Southfield Capital in May 2018 and has over 15 years of industry experience, including 10+ in middle-market private equity investing. Chris has worked across a range of industries, including business and financial services, industrials, consumer/retail, and healthcare.

Prior to joining Southfield, Chris was a Senior Associate at A&M Capital Opportunities, where he focused on growth-oriented investments in the lower middle market. Prior to joining A&M Capital, Chris was a Senior Associate at RFE Investment Partners, a lower middle-market private equity fund focused on growing companies in the niche manufacturing, business services and healthcare services industries. Previously, Chris was an Associate of TAP Advisors, a boutique investment banking and advisory firm. Chris began his career as an Analyst in the M&A group at Deutsche Bank Securities.

Chris is currently on the board of directors of Alba Wheels Up, Business Development Resources (BDR), Kelvin Group, Milrose Consultants, and previously served on the board of directors of Ntiva. Chris received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Financial Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Bob joined Southfield Capital in April 2023, bringing over twenty-five years of international operational and finance experience.

Prior to joining Southfield, Bob was the Head of Global Transformation at Trident Seafoods, where he led enterprise-wide projects that encompassed commercial strategy renewal, supply chain optimization, and modernization of core business processes and technology. Previously, Bob held various senior finance roles at Microsoft, with responsibility across functional groups and products, and oversaw large scale innovation projects. Prior to Microsoft, he spent over a decade at Procter & Gamble in finance leadership positions across a variety of disciplines, brands and countries, and led acquisition integration efforts.

Bob is currently on the board of directors of Protos Security and TFS. He holds his CMA certification and earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Manitoba.

Josh joined Southfield Capital as an Associate in July 2017. Before joining Southfield Capital, Josh worked in HSBC’s Mergers & Acquisitions group in New York where he provided valuation, structuring and execution support. He operated as a generalist, but primarily worked in the chemicals and consumer space on a variety of transactions.

Josh is currently on the board of directors of Franchise FastLane, Protos Security and Alba Wheels Up. He received an M.B.A. from Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business and earned a B.S. in Business with a major in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Matt joined Southfield Capital as an Associate in April 2021. Prior to joining Southfield, Matt was an Associate at Access Industries where he worked on private and public investments across a range of industry verticals including business services, industrials, chemicals, technology, and media and telecommunications. Prior to joining Access, Matt worked as an investment banking analyst at Nomura Securities in New York. At Nomura, Matt was a member of the Healthcare group where he worked on mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity transactions across the healthcare services and medical technology verticals.

Matt graduated from Boston College and earned a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Finance.

Channa joined Southfield Capital in May 2024. Prior to joining Southfield, Channa was a Senior Associate at The Edgewater Funds in Chicago, where he worked on middle market private equity investing across the business services and industrials industry verticals. Prior to joining Edgewater, Channa worked as an investment banking Associate at Intrepid Investment Bankers in Los Angeles.

Channa is currently on the board of directors of Business Development Resources (BDR). He obtained his BSc (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from Lancaster University, UK and received his M.B.A from The Marshall Business School of the University of Southern California.

Shawn joined Southfield Capital as a Vice President in September 2025. Prior to joining Southfield, Shawn was a Vice President at Accord Asset Partners in San Diego, where he worked on lower middle market private equity investments across a variety of sectors, while primarily focused on the healthcare services space. Prior to joining Accord, Shawn worked as a private credit Associate at Maranon Capital in Chicago.

Shawn graduated from the University of Notre Dame, earning a B.B.A. in Finance with a double major in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics.

Joseph joined Southfield Capital as an Associate in October 2023. Prior to joining Southfield, Joseph was a Senior Associate at HarbourVest Partners, where he evaluated buyout and growth stage co-investment opportunities across several sectors. Prior to joining HarbourVest, Joseph served as an investment banking Senior Analyst at Canaccord Genuity in New York. At Canaccord, Joseph worked on M&A transactions across different sectors, including technology, media, marketing, information, e-commerce, and healthcare.

Joseph graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, earning a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Finance.

Paul joined Southfield Capital as an Associate in February 2024. Prior to joining Southfield, Paul was an Associate at Milton Street Capital, where he focused on buyout transactions of lower middle market industrials businesses. Prior to joining Milton Street, Paul served as an investment banking analyst at BofA Securities in Houston. At BofA, Paul worked on M&A transactions in the Global Natural Resources Group.

Paul graduated from the University of Michigan, where he received his B.B.A. from the Ross School of Business.

Sam joined Southfield Capital as an Associate in August 2024. Prior to joining Southfield Capital, Sam served as an investment banking analyst at PMCF in Chicago. At PMCF, Sam worked on M&A transactions in the Plastics & Packaging Group.

Sam graduated from Ohio State University, where he received his B.B.A in Finance with distinction.

With over 15 years of experience in leadership and management, this professional has been instrumental in driving the company's vision and growth. They are passionate about building strong teams and delivering exceptional results.

Josh joined Southfield Capital as an Analyst in May 2024. Prior to becoming an Analyst, Josh was an Intern at Southfield, where he primarily focused on business development related tasks. Prior to joining Southfield, Josh founded and operated Finkel Auto Detailing, a mobile car detailing business serving the Westchester, NY area.

Josh graduated from Quinnipiac University, where he received his B.S. in Finance.

Jon has been overseeing Southfield’s tax and financial reporting since 2007. He has nearly twenty years of experience working in the alternative investment industry. He began his career with a small public accounting firm servicing the tax and financial reporting needs of high net worth clients and their asset managers. After earning his CPA license, Jon moved on to auditing and accounting roles with J.H. Whitney & Co, Ernst & Young, LLP and Quadrangle Group, LLC.

Jon is a certified public accountant in Connecticut and serves on the board of the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Financial Executives Alliance. He received his B.S. in Accounting from Lehigh University.

Chris joined Southfield Capital in March 2023. Prior to Southfield, Chris was the Controller for Emerson Point Capital LP, a long-short equity hedge fund manager based in Stamford, CT. In this role Chris was responsible for accounting, operations, and compliance activities for the funds. Before Emerson Point, Chris worked in fund accounting roles at Conatus Capital and Waterfall Asset Management, after beginning his career as an auditor at Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

Chris is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, with a B.S in Accounting.

Elysia joined Southfield in August 2017. Prior to Southfield, Elysia was Operations Manager and Compliance Officer at RockView Capital, a hedge fund based in Stamford, CT, that specialized in fixed income credit migration strategies. While at RockView, Elysia was responsible for overseeing their back office operations and compliance program.

Elysia obtained her B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Boston University.

Allie joined Southfield in March 2018. Prior to Southfield, she worked for the Chief Administrative Officer and SVP of Communications at Westchester Medical Center. Prior to that, Allie worked at several financial firms in New York City and Greenwich, CT overseeing office management.

Allie obtained her B.S. in Marketing from Old Dominion University with distinction and went on to get her M.S. in Corporate Communications from Boston University and graduated summa cum laude.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news that our longtime friend and colleague, Tim Lewis, passed away on July 27, 2024.

Tim spent his career as an investor, consultant, and executive, culminating in the past decade with us here at Southfield.

Whether working in the trenches or leading the charge, Tim’s dedication, passion and expertise left an impact on all. His unique ability to make people feel valued was clear to anyone he encountered, and was also immediately extended to new team members at Southfield, where it’s tradition for them to sing their favorite song on their first day. He was often the first to cheer on anyone brave enough to participate or offered his recognizable playful groan to those less musically inclined. His enthusiasm for music ran deep. Tim was a proud performer himself, and (too) frequently reminded us that he was a member of an a cappella singing group, the Spizzwinks, during his undergraduate years at Yale.

Among his many special talents, Tim had a rare gift for bringing out the best in everyone. This was evident during his epic whiteboard sessions – which were an event unto themselves and will forever be unrivaled – where his intellect and energetic, engaging nature may have merely seemed like sport to him but were inspiring to us all. It must be said, though, during football season not everything he did brought out the best in us. Particularly his Monday morning arrivals to the office after a win by his beloved Kansas City Chiefs. Predictably wearing a Chiefs hat and a big grin, his famous laugh would boom through the office as he reveled in the victory, his love for his hometown shining brightly.

Yet, no love was greater for Tim than the love he had for his wife Alisyn, twin daughters Ale and Cessa, and son Nate. Tim absolutely treasured them, and there was always a special twinkle in his eyes whenever he spoke about them. In fact, among the many, many lessons Tim imparted to us, perhaps most paramount was the importance of knowing what really matters. For Tim, his family mattered most.

Losing Tim is incredibly hard, and we will forever miss him. He was a dynamic force in our lives, an inspiration to us all, and someone we truly admired. It was a great privilege to have had him in our lives, and his influence undoubtedly has made the world a better place.
